Cannot get to the Deluxe Portfolio
When: April 12, 2008
Effect: When you try to access your Portfolio, you end up on this page.
MSN Money updated some certificates.
If you have not restarted Internet Explorer, please do so and try accessing your Portfolio again.
If that fails and you get an "unable to display" warning, try resetting your choice for the Deluxe Portfolio:
- Verify that you see the Beta of the new Basic Portfolio
https://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/portfolio-manager/portfolio.aspx - If so try to change back to the old Basic Portfolio:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/controls/basic.asp - If that works change back to the Deluxe Portfolio (Investment Toolbox version) by using the Upgrade to Deluxe link (right below the Refresh Page and Trade Now buttons).
For additional information reference the Remove and Reinstall KB article.
Note: If you had been using a bookmark, shortcut or favorite to access the Portfolio, please be sure to update it to http://moneycentral.msn.com/stock_portfolio (note the underline between stock and portfolio)

Portfolio showing outdated data
Effect: Outdated information appears in your portfolio, if the Portfolio hasn't successfully saved to the MSN Money servers in the past 90 days. MSN Money may try to force an update and replaced the Portfolio information on your computer with the information stored on MSN Money servers. Because updates have not occurred for 90 days, this causes outdated information to appear in your Portfolio.

Why doesn't my account update?
Effect:
There may be times when specific accounts do not update. In most instances the accounts will update within 24 hours.
If specific accounts haven't updated for more than 24 hours and you've tried to force an update via Update Now, see the Check the Status of an account on MSN Money item below for information on how to look up the error codes for those accounts. If you click on that error code, it may provide additional information to identify the reason for the failure.
If you go to your financial institution's website and see that they've added additional security measures, this may explain the difficulty Money has in updating your accounts. In these situations we are working to accommodate these changes as soon as possible.
Check the status of an account in MSN Money
To check the status of an account that you currently track in MSN Money's My Accounts, go to the Account Status page.

The status provided for each account includes:
- Date and time of the last update
- Number of transactions
- An option to change your bank or brokerage sign-in information, if needed
- Error codes
