Bob Guccione Jr. founded Spin magazine with $2.5 million he borrowed from his dad, longtime Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione Sr. But when the father tried to take over the son's pride-and-joy music publication, the two had a decade-long falling out. Penthouse has since hit the skids (and Bob Jr. has been shown the door at Discover magazine).

Maybe father should have listened to son when, after marveling at the popularity of the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, he told Bob Sr. to put the clothes back on the Penthouse women.
