Free real-time stock data

Time is money, and nowhere is that more true than in the world of investing.

MSN Money is now offering free real-time stock data – with no sign-in requirement – from the BATS Trading network, an electronic stock exchange that handles roughly 10% of all stock market trading volume in the United States.

While these prices are a useful indictor of current price action, it's important to remember that prices on BATS may not mirror exactly those on other stock exchanges for the same security at the same instant. Most stocks are traded on several exchanges or ECNs (electronic communications networks), generally with small variations in price on each.

You no longer need to log in to Passport in order to access real-time data on MSN Money. During market hours, you'll find the real-time data located just below the 15-minute delayed data from the exchanges.
